The Jamaican Forum is a public informational discussion board base around the Jamaican Culture where people from all walks of life can feel relax in discussing a wide range of topics with other members. Its primary focus is to keep Jamaican's  both living at home and abroad in tune with every and anything relating to Jamaica.

The Jamaica Forum (herein will be referred to as TJF) is a family site that could be viewed by all ages. One of our objectives is to be recognised as an integral and valuable entity, presenting open-minded contributions from its members, and to be viewed as a website of high standard and excellence.

TJF was born out of the desire to 'link up' people around the world with the best that the Jamaican Community has to offer. We also provide an opportunity for youths and adults to participate in various discussions. Membership is free and open to all nationalities that are interested in The Jamaican culture, entertainment and more.

Through an online community members can:

1. Network – With fewer members able to attend events, a forum in which they can connect with others (virtually) on their schedule is of great value.

2. Update their own information – Saving administration’s and members’ time as personal profiles can be updated by members on their own time. With many members adding an Internet presence and social media profiles, it's more efficient to allow members to update their profile than it is for administration to make multiple changes (to each profile) over the year. Plus the changes can be seen in real time.

3. Promote their/your business – An online community allows member businesses to offer each other deals through a secure environment. It is possible to make editable web pages available to a top membership level. Imagine smaller businesses, who previously thought they lacked the knowledge and capabilities, can now have a web presence through our site.

4. Communicate – Improve communication and information dissemination with our members through blogs, forums, wiki and collaboration pages and micro-blogging features. Quizzes and surveys allow TJF to poll members on preferences (easily).

5. Find an employee – We from time to time will promote a member depending on how well they interaction on the board etc.

6. Sharing – You are the keeper of important information about Jamaica for your area. Why not share it on our site so that member can easily access it. Creating a post, blog or even a webinar (maybe focused around technology so say the least) and uploading it to our site will allow members and guest to get involved.

So no matter where you live, who you are, or what you do, if anything from the land we call home puts a smile on your face and a hop in your step, chances are we've built this site just for you.
